The local Health Department will be conducting vision screenings for our 5th & 7th grade students on December 17 & 18. This will take place in the Media Center and is free of charge. A technician will provide initial screening for each student, in addition to a rescreen if a student does not pass or was absent on the initial screening day. Students with glasses or contacts should wear them during the screening. Technicians should be informed if a student has hearing aids, shunts, insulin pumps and or medically implanted devices. If parents wish to opt-out, they must provide a signed note stating such.
The Holiday Band concert, featuring all of the middle and high school bands will take place on Tuesday, December 17th, at 6:30pm in the High School Gym. Middle school students need to be in the band room at 6:00pm and should dress nice!
Swan bus will not be running both AM and PM routes on Friday, December 13th. Please seek alternate means of transportation.

Middle School drama auditions have been rescheduled due to snow days. Fifth and sixth-grade auditions will be held tomorrow from 3:30-5:30. Seventh and eighth-grade auditioners may sign up in the office for the remaining slots still open for tomorrow and/or will be able to audition next week on Wednesday from 3:30-5:30. The first script read-through will be on Thursday the 19th of next week now instead of Wednesday,.

5th Grade Classroom Halloween Parties: Thursday, Oct 31st, the 5th grade classes will have a fun afternoon of food, fun & games. Your child should wear their normal clothes to school. If they wish to change into a costume after lunch, they may do so. Please make sure that the costume is appropriate for school and doesn’t take too much time to change into due to the amount of time that we have available.
The parties will start after lunch at 1:00 and will go until the end of the school day. Treats may be brought in to share if you wish, but please don’t feel obligated. If you choose to send something, please send enough for everyone.
6th Grade Roller Skating Trip on Thursday, Oct. 31st during the regular school day. Don't forget socks and money if your child opted to purchase lunch.
