Pirate Nation! Congratulations to Kelsey Copenhaver, whose DAR essay recently won a $500 scholarship in a local-level competition among area students. The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizens Scholarship essay prompt asks students to explain how the qualities of a good citizen—dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism—support the nation. Kelsey was selected by her Social Studies teacher, Mr. Elliott Ambrose, as our school's DAR Good Citizen and was then invited to participate in the essay portion of the program.

The community is invited to join the Superintendent for donuts and coffee to discuss a potential bond for Hart Public Schools. This event is open house style. Come anytime between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM, stay for as long or as little as you want, and drop in when it's convenient for you. Your opinion matters! And free donuts (who doesn't love donuts?) Adan Cruz #7 made the All-District team as the #6 ranked field player. Adan was also named to the All-Region team and made All-State Honorable mention!
Keeper Miguel Escamilla made All-District honors. He was named the #2 keeper in the district.
Carter Ramseyer #11 earned All-District honors as the #4 defender in the district!
Tyler Larios-Mendez #12 made the All-District team and Adrian Belmares #16 made the All-District team.
Chase Lorenz #9 and Emmanuel Ortega #10 earned All-Conference honors.
Tyler also earned All-Conference Honorable Mention honors.

Pirate Nation-While the end of the game wasn't what we wanted, the start of the game certainly was. Our senior players celebrated Staff Appreciation by giving staff T-shirts and introducing the staff. The team also took time to recognize and appreciate Mr. Moran. His daughters came to stand in his place supported by Mr. Moran's parents and all of Pirate Nation. The team likes to say Long Live Troy Moran as a reminder in their own lives to model their behavior after his so he can live on through them. #runtheship #piratepride #lltm
